MUSIC VIDEO

~ a beginner to intermediate level singing and video production program.  Participants must have some previous vocal experience and an interest in making music videos!

This program builds on elements of our versatile vocals and glee programs but focuses the singing element of performance towards the camera.

 

 

    SEASON/COURSE SCHEDULE

this course runs for 75 minutes on

THURSDAYS  from 7:00pm - 8:15pm

  Working with the instructor and fellow classmates, the students will create several music videos during the season. Attention will be given to: vocal performance and breathing techniques, performing for the camera vs the stage, storyboarding, cinematography and lighting.  Students will all have the opportunity to work on all elements of making their music videos come to life, and to explore a variety of different roles in the film making process.

 

 

* NOTES:

1. This course does in-studio filming during regular class times.  Additional ‘shooting days’ (outside of regular class time) may be required through the season.  Students/parents will be notified in advance.

 

2. There are no live/stage performances involved in this program, however, this class may choose to do an in-studio demonstration during their regular class time in January, for families to observe the process.  Some of the filmed work from this class will be included in the June event - That’s A Wrap Film Fest! Details will be announced during the season.

 

3. Previous or concurrent experience with singing/musical theatre is a requirement of admission to this Program.
