Intermediate Musical Theatre

~ an intermediate skill-development program geared to students wishing to further develop their ‘triple sensation’ skills in singing, dancing, and acting for the musical theatre performer.

This class builds on the skills developed in our Junior Voice & MT Program. It's focused, but fun and exuberant and features material from a variety of musicals and styles/genres.  All 3 'triple sensation' elements are included in this program, with instruction given in each area. This class is also integrated into the Senior MT Program every 2 or 3 weeks, staying for an extra 60-90 minutes longer, for additional skills development and show rehearsal for their parts in the Senior MT class production called Ovation's! SHOW OF SHOWS! (The extra time/rehearsal schedule is announced in the fall.)

*Performances:  Three:  this class performs a piece at the Winter Showcase; the SHOW OF SHOWS! production is mounted in early April; and then a brand new piece is worked for performance in the spring Get STAGEstruck! show at Markham Theatre.  Additional rehearsal and production hours will be required when mounting the spring shows.
